Harrison SWCD
The Harrison SWCD was organized in 1945 and consists of all land within Harrison County. The District is governed by 5 duly elected supervisors who serve staggered 3-year terms, voluntarily. Harrison SWCD holds public meetings each month to discuss natural resource priorities. The Harrison SWCD office is located in the Harrison County Government Center in Cadiz, Ohio.

The District works cooperatively with other county agencies, local officials, and other conservation organizations to increase the appreciation of our county’s valuable natural resources.

Funding is obtained through the Harrison County Commissioners, the state of Ohio, grants and donations. Harrison SWCD is currently seeking a Program Assistance Grant to continue to operate. The district has received zero funding from the Harrison County Commissioners in 2009. Despite the lack of funding supervisors and staff are committed to operate and are pursuing alternative funding options. Events.htmlshapeimage_1_link_0
